Persevere and Succeed

Updated: Oct 20, 2022

If you’re old enough to remember, years ago getting a novel published was like winning a Nobel Peace Prize. It was a huge accomplishment and a dream of so many. If you did manage that accomplishment, you were like 1/10th of a percent to do so. I recall the stories of John Grisham driving around the country with his truck full of this first novel, The Firm. It took perseverance, timing, and a good book and we all know the story of his successes. Even though most of us these days are self-publishing, it still requires the same perseverance and a “never give up” attitude because now we can’t count on a publishing house doing the marketing for us, it’s up to us, and that’s a huge challenge. Writing the book is almost the easy part.
